If a route closes again

The park closes a route now and then, after a fire, an eruption or heavy rain. When that happens I message everyone with a trek on it myself, on WhatsApp, before their date, and you choose what suits you.

Moving your date is free. And because a closure comes from the park, not from you, you get everything back if you cancel, as it says in the booking terms.

Updates

  1. Senaru and Torean open againThe park reopened both routes. Every trek runs as normal again, including the lake and the walk out through Senaru or Torean.
  2. Senaru closedThe park closed Senaru as well. Only Sembalun stayed open, so every trek went up and back down from there.
  3. Torean closedAfter a forest fire on Bukit Setampol the evening before, the park closed the Torean route.
  4. Whole park closed for the wet seasonThis happens every year. More in the best time to climb.
  5. EruptionThe mountain closed for a while. How the park watches the volcano today is on the safety page.
  6. EruptionsThe mountain closed for a while.
