Plain language, no fine print · July 2026

How booking works

  1. You send a booking request through the website or WhatsApp. This is free and nothing is charged.
  2. We confirm your date, usually the same day.
  3. You pay a deposit of $20 per person through a secure payment link (Mollie). The moment it arrives, your national park permits are purchased and your guesthouse night is arranged. Your spot is locked in.
  4. The rest is paid in cash on arrival, as a fixed rupiah amount confirmed with your booking. It does not move with the exchange rate.

Changes and cancellations

  1. Changing your date is free, any time. Plans shift, boats get cancelled. Message us and we move your trek.
  2. The deposit is not refundable, because your park permits are bought as soon as it arrives and the park does not refund them. But the deposit never expires worthless: it stays valid for 12 months for any new date.
  3. If the park closes or we have to cancel (weather, volcanic activity), you get everything back, in full.

Payments

Your deposit is processed securely through Mollie. The rest of your trek price is paid in cash to your guide team when you arrive. Prices are per person in US dollars and include everything listed on the trek pages: transport, the guesthouse night before the trek, meals, camping gear, guides, porters, park fees, and trekking insurance.
