How booking works

  1. You send a booking request through the website or WhatsApp. This is free and nothing is charged.
  2. We confirm your date, usually the same day.
  3. You pay a deposit of $30 per person through a secure payment link (Mollie). This fee is for the reservation service: confirming your date with your guide, arranging your pickup and guesthouse night, and handling your questions. The moment it arrives, your spot is locked in.
  4. The trek price is paid in cash to your guide team on arrival, as a fixed rupiah amount confirmed with your booking. It does not move with the exchange rate.

Changes and cancellations

  1. Changing your date is free. Plans shift, boats get cancelled. Message us and we move your trek, even if your park permit has already been bought. Permits are issued per person for one fixed date and cannot be transferred, so a new date means buying a new one, and we carry that cost. If you ever need to move a second time, that one costs $30 per person, because another permit has to be bought.
  2. The deposit is not refundable, because arrangements for your trek start as soon as it arrives. But it never expires worthless: it stays valid for 12 months for any new date.
  3. If the park closes or we have to cancel (weather, volcanic activity), you get everything back, in full.

Who you book with

The treks are operated by Mount Rinjani Adventures (CV. Mount Rinjani Adventures, registration S.2653KT/WPJ.31/KPO603/2017), the registered trekking company of Zainal and his team in Sembalun, Lombok (Indonesia). Your trekking agreement, and the trek price you pay on arrival, is directly with them.

Payments

Your deposit is processed securely through Mollie. The trek price is paid in cash to your guide team when you arrive. Prices shown are per person totals in US dollars (deposit and trek price together) and include everything listed on the trek pages: transport, the guesthouse night before the trek, meals, camping gear, guides, porters, and park fees. Travel insurance is not included: every trekker brings their own policy, which is checked before the permits are arranged.
